The huge pink granite dome that sits as the centerpiece of this park is approximately 60 miles from San Antonio and closer if one travels from Boerne, New Braunfels and other more northern cities. Now called the Enchanted Rock State National Area, thousands of visitors clamber up its gleaming rock “faces” each year to learn about historical legends and ancient geology.
