China Grove (pop 1,311) is a picturesque community sitting on U.S. Hwy 87, 9 miles east of San Antonio. encompassing 4.3 square miles of land. It was settled in 1900 and incorporated in 1960.
For school aged children, the city is within the boundaries of the East Central Independent School District.
