Universal City (pop 20,459) is located at the north gate of Randolph Air Force Base where most of its’ residents work. Its’ main street, Pat Booker Road, took its’ name from an Air Force pilot, Capt. Francis O. Booker, at Randolph.
A soothing and enjoyable area of the city is along Cibolo Creek, a stream that runs approximately 96 miles from Boerne, Texas to its’ confluence with the San Antonio River as far south as La Vernia. The creek is a tributary of the San Antonio River and all along the way, enjoyed by residents of the cities and towns it passes through.
School-aged children attend Schertz-Cibolo-Universal City schools.
